The Life Binder is level II which will stop 9MM , .40 Cal, .45 auto, 38 spc, 380 auto, and a snub nose .357 Mag. With the IIIA+ plate the protection level increases to stop AK 47 and AR 15 rounds up to 2750fps which covers most real world scenarios.
Plate is AR 500 in 3/16 and weighs in at 5 lbs, the Life binder weighs 9 oz. The combined weight is about the same as a History Book, but has the ability to protect your child against the calibers that are prevalent in todays school shootings.
