This carrier is designed to hold standard 10x12" plate up to 1.25" thick. it also has built in side pockets to hold 6x6 " side plates. Comes with Quick release attachments on side as well as shoulder. Extra padding (12mm) of foam on the shoulder straps for extra comfort.
Size XS -M comes with Quick release right side only and is sized to fit 30-45"
Small-XL is sized to fit a minimum circumference of about 37" and a max of 50" with inserted plates.
Size XL -3XL is sized to fit a minimum 43" and a Max of 56" with inserted plates.
Size 2x-5XL is sized to fit a Minimum of 47" and a Max of 60" with Inserted plates.
This carrier comes with all pictured pouches which includes the following
- front 3 mag holder ,
- 2 single side mag holders
- 2 side mounted gear pouches
- 11x3" Velcro on back and front for large labels like security or police.
The plates are your choice of level III ultra light which are all PE and weigh 3 lbs 2 oz
or Level III+ which have a ceramic face to stop penetrating rounds, lab tested against M855 and M855a1
as well as back pouch for first aid/ rope. It has plenty of molle straps to add more pouches to suit your needs.
Measurement: To find your circumference where the plate carrier will rest, measure down about 14" from your trachea (soft spot on neck between collarbones as pictures)
Make a mental note of where the 14" mark hits your belly. Then wrap the tape around your torso at that spot as pictured in the last pic. You will need a plate carrier that adjusts can cover your number. for reference I'm 5,11" 180lbs and my number is 38" and wear a 17" 34/35" dress shirt large or XL tee shirt. I can fit comfortably into both carriers.
